Aslında TOEFL sınavı, yazma, okuma, konuşma ve dinleme becerilerinizi ayrı ayrı ölçerek puanlayacaktır. Çoğu üniversite toplam puanı dikkate almakla birlikte, becerileri ayrı ayrı değerlendiren üniversiteler de bulunmaktadır. Üniversitelerin TOEFL skoru hakkındaki beklentileri farklıdır. ABD’deki üniversitelerin ortalama beklentisi 78’dir. Fakat minimum beklentisi 100 olan üniversiteler de vardır. Avustralya’nın göçmenler için talep ettiği minimum TOEFL skoru ise 79’dur. Hedeflediğiniz okulların gereksinimlerini öğrenerek hedefinizi buna göre koymak doğru olacaktır.
